Pistachio & cookie milkshake
By Tali Simon | January 30, 2012
I know it’s January. And that it’s about to become February. It’s definitely winter.
And it’s also definitely time for a milkshake.
I know you agree with me. When you saw the word “milkshake” in the title and the photo that followed, you perked right up…right?
I mean, it’s ice cream and cookies, only drinkable. Mmmmmmm. I think I need another glass.
It all started last week when I bought some ice cream at the makolet. Normally, I’d make it myself, but I was short on time and needed a scoop for some photos I was taking for Binah.
I could have just eaten the leftover ice cream straight from the container. In one sitting, even. But a milkshake is so much more fun.
I waited a few days, trying to gather the necessary supplies. I borrowed a tall glass from a neighbor, and my husband found a set of milkshake spoons in Jerusalem.
Today was the day. And oh, what a day it was.
Milk + ice cream + chocolate chip cookies + extra chocolate chips. It doesn’t get much better than that.
Unless the ice cream is homemade.
There’s always next time.
Ingredients Directions 1. Place ice cream, milk, cookie pieces, and 3 Tbsp chocolate chips in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth. 2. Serve in a tall glass and top with whipped cream and extra chocolate chips, if you like (who doesn’t?).
