Are you making a barbecue for Yom HaAtzmaut? I hope you know that it’s practically halacha, at least in Israel. But luckily for me and vegetarians everywhere, the key word is “practically.” And that means that you can mark the day with lots and lots of Israeli-inspired dishes.

Whether you’re joining a big group or just making a festive meal at home, this roundup should give you some great ideas. Happy 65th!

Breads

Chummus, etc.

Salads

Falafel, burgers, etc. (pareve and dairy options)

Sweet stuff
