I did something on Friday that I’ve never done before: make Shabbos in 45 minutes. It definitely wasn’t elaborate, but it was food. We had soba noodles (with just mushrooms), sesame-crusted tofu, and edamame. Oh, and there was also brown rice that I put up earlier in the day. One shortcut I took was to boil the noodles and edamame together in one pot. I thought myself pretty smart until I realized that I was going to have to separate all of the edamame out…with a baby who had woken up on the wrong side of the crib on one hip.
Anyway, who’s in the mood for dairy? I’ll be sharing a recipe for mini quiches (they’d be perfect at a Chanukah party buffet, just saying). And more exciting than that (for me, at least) is our third anniversary coming up on Wednesday. Have we been married forever, or what? I’m baking up something delicious, so come back soon for a peek.
