Menu Plan: Week of Dec. 8, 2013

By | December 8, 2013

An hour or two ago, I was sitting at the table feeding the baby a muffin when I saw something I’ve never seen before in all my 27 years: a massive rainbow, sprawling across the sky. As the baby stared in confusion, I started making a big fuss — seriously, if there’s something to “wow” over, this would be it — and made a mad rush for the closest ArtScroll. There was a bracha for this, right? If only I’d managed to be so enthusiastic over the rain we had all morning.

Over the next couple of days, I’ll be sharing some pics from Jamie Geller’s book party in Jerusalem last week. What’s that, you wanted a recipe? I have a colorful, healthy, different sort of salad for you. It’s just the thing for the aftermath of Chanukah’s fry fest.

What’s your method for preparing garlicky challah toasts? Sounds yummy.

It’s basically the same thing as my fresh garlic pita wedges (the post on those has a link to my guest post on Overtime Cook).
