We don’t always eat dinner. Make that: we sometimes have junk food instead of dinner. I guess it’s the fate of a recipe developer and her husband, or maybe just the fate of a tired person who doesn’t feel like making a real meal at the end of a busy work day. Or both.
A couple of weeks ago, I spent all afternoon working on a recipe for chocolate cookie truffles. By the end of the day, we had tons of truffles lying around, and I didn’t have any extra energy, so…truffles for dinner. I already know that tomorrow will be like that. I’ve got to test a few batches of sugar cookies for a deadline this week, so when we need to eat, that’s what will be available. (Need sugar cookies? Feel free to drop by.)
Speaking of cookies, I have some beautiful Tu B’Shvat-inspired ones for you this week, followed by a cool collection of other Tu B’Shavat recipes. HaSh’keideya porachat…
- Sugar cookies (I’m not kidding, see above)
- Tomato barley soup
- Challah toasts
- Cheesy rice vegetable patties (testing)
