Menu Plan: Week of Jan. 5, 2014

After a typical Shabbos at home, we have very little in the way of leftovers. It’s not that we barrel through tons of food (um, I think), it’s that when it’s just us I tend to stay low-key with the cooking. This week, we had my twin cousins for Shabbos (come back soon, guys), and my menu goal was that category I like to call “fancier than usual but not over the top, and not too many leftovers or I’ll feel like I did too much.” Well, judging by the almost-empty fridge, I think it was a success. We do have a handful of peanut butter cups, though. They could use some more tweaking.

This week: Don’t forget to enter the giveaway for a copy of The Whole Foods Kosher Kitchen! Contest closes Monday at midnight EST. And make sure to drop in for a new veggie side dish and…well, to be honest, I’m not sure what else. But there will be something, and it will be good.
